Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Taylor Crabb’s connection to volleyball began on the sandy courts of the Outrigger Canoe Club, where he first learned the sport as a young kid. From early success in junior competitions to dominating both indoor and beach volleyball, Taylor’s journey is defined by grit, athleticism, and pure passion for the game. 

Taylor was a standout at Punahou School, graduating as one of the nation’s top players, and went on to play for Long Beach State University, where he became a three-time All-American and was named the 2013 NCAA National Player of the Year — a rare feat for a player of his size at 6’0”. 

In 2015 he turned professional on the AVP Tour, quickly establishing himself as one of the sport’s most exciting and skilled defenders. Over the years, Taylor has racked up numerous accolades including multiple AVP MVP Awards, Best Defender titles, and more than a dozen AVP championships — earning fan recognition as one of the most thrilling competitors in tour history. 

A key moment in his career came when he and partner Jake Gibb qualified for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.

Taylor continues to chase excellence in beach volleyball and has teamed up with top U.S. blocker Andy Benesh in pursuit of LA 2028 Olympic qualification, blending speed, strategy, and fearless play. 

Off the courts, he’s dedicated to growing the sport — coaching, hosting clinics, and creating experiences like Celebrity SideOut, which brings pros and fans together in dynamic events. 

His story is one of resilience, heart, and unwavering love for beach volleyball — a true Lost Traveler on and off the sand.
